Epoxy resin flooring & worktops — your questions
Most domestic rooms are completed in two to four days, including surface preparation, primer, resin coats and curing time before light foot traffic. Heavier use and furniture can usually return after five to seven days, once the floor has fully cured.
In many cases, yes. Epoxy bonds well to sound concrete and many existing screeds. We always assess the substrate first — moisture levels, cracks and surface condition — and carry out grinding, repairs and priming so the resin performs for years rather than months.
A high-gloss finish can be slippery when wet, so for kitchens, entrances and commercial spaces we can add an anti-slip aggregate or specify a satin/matte seal coat. You get the seamless look with the grip the space needs.
Virtually unlimited. Solid colours matched to any paint brand shade, metallic and pearl effects, decorative flakes, quartz blends and high-build industrial systems — in gloss, satin or matte sheens. We bring samples to your survey so you can see finishes in your own light.
Yes — epoxy resin conducts heat efficiently and works very well over water or electric underfloor heating systems. We commission the heating gradually after curing, and specify a resin system rated for the temperature range.
Simply sweep and mop. There are no grout lines or joins to trap dirt, and the sealed surface resists staining. Avoid harsh abrasive pads; a pH-neutral cleaner keeps the sheen looking new for years.
Yes. We can install seamless epoxy worktops as part of a kitchen respray project, or refurbish existing worktops on their own. The finish is heat, scratch and stain resistant when properly specified, and can be colour-matched to your sprayed cabinets for a completely unified look.
